Volunteer Opportunities

People choose to volunteer for a variety of reasons. For some, it offers the chance to give something back to the community or make a difference to the people around them. For others, it provides an opportunity to develop new skills on existing experience and knowledge.

Possible Volunteer Opportunities :

· Shelving Books

· Computer help for Seniors

· Processing Donated Materials

· Special Event Assistance

· Story-time

· Kids Craft Activities

· Fundraising

· Outreach

· ESL Classes for adults

·After-School tutoring

If you are interested in volunteering at the librrary, please complete a volunteer application, obtain a background check (marked work with children), and submit to Blythe City Hall.  You may also pick up a volunteer application from the library during business hours.   Teen volunteers must submit two non-family references, in addition to application and background check.

Friends of the Blythe Library is an active group of dedicated volunteers interested in supporting and promoting the library.    Please consider joining them in supporting the library via becoming  a  paid  member,  volunteering,  fundraising , donating, or even just liking their page and sharing their events.   The Friends group meets quarterly, at the library.  Anyone interested in becoming involved is welcome to attend.    Please  check  out  the  “FRIENDS”  page  for  more  information.
